Arts & Entertainment: Glass artist

  • Alex Greenwood has been working with glass for more than a decade (he got his start with a small torch in his own kitchen). After studying at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Tennessee, he settled in Asheville and organized the Asheville Glass Center with Logan MacSporran. Greenwood’s Asheville Glass colleague, Robert Gardner, joins Greenwood (in second place). Asheville Glass offers classes, demonstrations, studio rentals and ready-made works by participating members. — A.M.
